I am unable to use the suggested software either Bootscreen, Bootedit or 162init.zip. to change the Startup/Splash Screen
162init.zip doesn't extract as "Access is Denied" or "WSC32.dll was not found"

Everything going perfect with the LCD.

I still have the problem of no spare serial port to run it through.

Is there another port I can pick up the Data In and Data Out from.

Can I plug into any of the pins on the 25 pin parallel port or on the spare video display 15 pin port.

I can't add ...

Does I2c suffer any limitation on cable lengths

Both the USB device and the LK162-12 share the USB cable power wires

The USB cable's 2 data wires are for another USB Device.

Another two separate wires are needed for the data for the LK162-12 which requires a 6 core cable ...

Usb to serial has solved my problem.

The second USB to serial I tried worked.

The PCMCIA to serial I had wouldn't work.

A Parrallel to serial cable wouldn't work.

I did notice another PCMCIA that provided 2 serial ports of the 1 cable.

Does this mean I could parallel ...

I tried the serial cable before and it did not display but does now.
A terrific result.

I now however have the issue where I don't have a spare serial port to run this display.
Is there any easy "work around" to run it off an already in use serial port or other "Port"
