2. No, the unit is TTL and you will need RS232 levels to talk to any computer
3. LCDC will only work with MO units

I have a 2x16 HD44780 compatible LCD...I want to connect it via the serial port of my PC, Im interested on buying this serial module - SerLCD ... I emalided the company and they told me this:

If you've got a 9600bps TTL serial string, the LCD will display whatever you pass it.
