When I ordered my LCD, I bought the keypad and serial cable. I then butchered them taking the connector off the keypad and cable from serial cable.

Not sure what language you are using but for VB6, my site has a couple of examples. Also, there is a program that helps you design the custom characters. Click on the pixels you want to show and it tells you the hex value.

I chose to power the display through the 3 pin header as, if memory serves correctly, you have to solder a jumper on the pcb. I'd rather not do that. Using the supplied power pins made more sense. What is the maximum distance between the serial port and a LK204-25? A "competitor" has said that 20 metres (60 feet) is too far for their LCD with a keypad. I thought serial was good for a hundred metres (300 feet)or so.
