What do you mean the negative is "floating"

When a GPO turns on and off, does the unit turn off both the positive and negative leads to the GPO? I need to know because I am working with transistors and want to know if i should use NPN or PNP transistors...I need to boost the power of my GPO outputs

Is there anything i can try before i RMA it? Just to make SURE everything is OK

Before i RMA it i want to be 100% sure that the screen IS in fact broken. Is there any reset on the MX 212 models? any jumper or anything? I would love to get it fixed by thursday...LAN party then!
