I have made a good start on the case lights.

I started by making some 'lightbars' . These are made from 3mm superbright L.E.D.'s....red,green and blue , pigtailed and harness'd ;

Next , I need a simple controller till these suckers get PWM'd ...

Unless there's a better idea of course.

If I do decide to piggyback from the backlights , Would it be possible to get the specs for the backlight LED's and or schematics ?

I had a feeling if it was PWM it would be a separate controller not readily accessable.......

I was asking because one method I am considering is just 'piggybacking' off of the backlight LED's , and I was curious what to expect.

Are the backlights controlled by PWM ? (i'm assuming yes , but i should make sure. =) )

I'm not sure if this is harware or software but I'll post it here.

I am curious about the operation of the gx's backlight.

I know the color data is set by 'lcd defaults configuration utility'.

I assume the backlight color will be adjustable 'on-the-fly' at some point by lcdstudio..Where is this ...

Heh....ok I believe I have got it.
my display's been up for 3 days now with no issues.


It would appear the issue is not with drivercoresvc.exe.....(at least not by itself).
There is either a) A conflict between drivercoresvc.exe and the 3 lexmark apps that load for my printer or b) the issue is ...

I can't nail this issue down.Lockups are the hardest thing to troubleshoot....at least bluescreens give you something to work with.

I'm 90% sure drivercoresvc.exe is at least part of the issue , however , at this point it looks like some of the drivers for my lexmark printer are involved too ...

Ok......

I have found another issue.

DriverCoreSvc.exe is giving me lockups....I'm not sure quite why , (i don't get a bluescreen or anything with data).......And it's seemingly random.

I'll repost If I learn more.

Unfortunately , this means I can't run my display till this issue is fixed.
