"saving power up state" indicates that the unit remembers how you have your devices set to behave when the system powers up - if you like to power up your connected fans at 50%, it will remember that setting. PWM stands for Pulse Width Modulation - when it comes to controlling the speed of...

Can we expect a 4x20 PLED MX Unit?

As the subject indicates, I'm curious to know if we can expect a 4x20 PLED MX unit in the near future. I'd certainly jump on the chance to get one of those... <:)

Matrix Orbital displays only support Dallas One Wire temperature probes, so the ones that you have from your digidoc will not be usable.

Sorry!

Alternatively, you could order two MX4xx units with no buttons on their faceplates, and simply wire up a single switch to short one row and one column on the keypad connector of each of the units, and use that event as a backlight toggle.

CCFLs require AC power. GPOs provide DC power (same as a computer power supply does). Therefore, an inverter is always necessary to take computer power supply (or GPO) power and convert it to AC power. It's less cumbersome (albeit less accurate) to say that the CCFL is plugged into a GPO than to say...

Doesn't "unmodified floppy power cable" mean the floppy power lead that comes directly from your computer's power supply?

Regardless of the size that you choose, one option is to create your own keypad using momentary switches of your choice, a spare drive cover, a dremel, and some technical know-how! Something that might look cool is to use vandal switches with illuminated rings that match the backlight colour of your...

MX-221 High Power GPOs

Hello! If I plug an unmodified floppy power connector into the MX-221 unit, and I have 2 CCFL inverters and 2 standard 80mm fans to power using high power GPOs, is it better to: a) split the output of one of the GPOs to power two inverters and use the other two GPOs to power one fan each b) split th...

Which is more visible?

Hello! I am trying to decide between the MX-221 and the MX-222. I can really go either way as I find both to be equally appealing, and either one would match my case perfectly. My case is quite tall (24"), but does reside on the floor of my office, and hence I would see the LCD on a bit of a do...
