Are their utilities and or developing tools for the USB LCDs that can be used on an Apple running OS X 10.4? i'm looking to use it on a G3 laptop for a project.

I am looking to build an MP3 box for my car but I am wondering what is the best display go use, LCD or VFD... I know VFD's back light has a shorter life span but it can be filtered against glare. I would like to have a color other then green on black... and ideas or recomendations ...
