Hello, the MX2, 3 and 6 will have the same module functionality and options, it is the display technology that is different. The VFD's are rated for approx 100,000 hrs (they should not shut off, or just quit, at that time) but you may start to see some dimming etc. The PLED's are approx 10,000hrs bu...

A few addtional points to add: PK technology is a newer technology so please note that life expectancy for these displays are not near the hours that a VFD or Character LCD will allow. Pro's for the PK series are not only low power consuption (approx 45mA) but the same crisp, clear display quality a...

Hello DieCastBlue, thank you for posting. Please note, if you decide to make the changes, as mentioned by Tom, it will void your warrenty. I realize your unit purchase is dated back.....but I thought I should make you aware of this before you make the decision to convert voltages. Regards, Bernadine

Hello, you may want to try contacting the MFG (Sharp) direct...or.... I believe "Future Electronics" is still franchised for "Sharp" and their Technical support can be very helpful.

I hope this helps!

Hello, unfortunately the 4x20 PLED technology is not as readily available from the PLED MFG's as the 20x2. However, we do hope to have 4x20 PLED's to offer in the future.

Please feel free to keep in touch for new updates to our product line.
