I have been using I2C to communicate from an Atom to Matrix Orbital displays for a while now. It is a wonderful and easy way to join these to units, using the Atom internal pullup resistors makes the interconnect very simple as external pullup resistors are not required. But I had some difficulty at ...

I have used the LK series of displays with a BS2. But if I remember correctly the speed was set with jumpers.
I notice that the documentation for both the BS2P and the GLK mentions I2C. Have you considered the possibility of using I2C instead of serial? I currently have several projects on the go ...

I just split apart a VFD2041 as well as a LCD2041 to remove the DB-9. Both projects were successful, but working slowly and carefully is the key. On one board I cut the pins, but on the other board I used a solder-sucker on the front side and soldering iron between the boards, to remove the header ...

VFD Display brightness
I have a VFD 2041 display and my application calls for the 2nd row of the display to be brighter than the 1st, 3rd and 4th.
What would I need to do to dim the 1st, 3rd and 4th lines by approximately 50%?
Thank you.
Ken
