This forum is for discussion of Matrix Orbital displays only... MO don't sell bare graphic LCD's so you need to look elsewhere I'm afraid.

You can get small enough 2x20's for a 3.5" bay... none with nice MO controllers, only parallel displays.

Strangely enough I'm a busy man, sorry for not replying to individual emails - I rarely find time. You don't need to use the +VE GPO pin as it's just a constant 5V line... Make sure you've put your transistors in the right way round (mine are labelled backwards in the diagram as they're pictured fro...

Yeah CD audio cables work but ideally you want two pin 0.1" pitch pin sockets... radio shack should stock them.

Didn't the display arrived with a sticker on the power connector which said something along the lines of '12V power only' on?

I'm pretty sure turning the backlight brightness down a little will make the inverse yellow look green...

If it doesn't I'd say just pop a green filter in front, it shouldn't decrease the brightness of the screen much.

I doubt the rx and tx lines will be the wrong way round on a -sm (uses the 'normal' orientation) but you can try it...

You can buy LCD units that will fit in a single floppy bay, but not from MO

You thought about putting the LCD elsewhere? In the top or side of the case maybe?
