Sounds just like what I need for my MO LCD 4041.

I just tried this and I seem to have a identity problem.
LCD 4041
Selected LCD type 0x7 does not match
the lcd connecting to of type 0xA.


Read module type gives 254 55
module type 10

top line says connected to LK404-55

I used the lasted database but this still happens.
BTW this locks up the ...

Well unless your LCD is rated for the cold it can freeze and crack rendering it pretty much useless. Ok, lloks like I get to post the message here, I'm so excited...
I have a LCD4041 acording to the specs it can have 8 custom characters an a custom startup message. Now I'm not a coder so telling me to use c++ won't help. How does one load those custom chars and startup into the LCD.
