yup, the first of the two drivers installs fine. (for me) I *think* (guess) that, as I have been "temporarily" installing quite a lot of stuff using USB, something else had installed a driver "service" named "USB Serial Port". Since whatever it was is no longer connecte...

The single reason I got a USB model over a serial one is that I can plug the usb straight onto one of my internal MB headers.

I don't like the idea of having to trail a cable out of my box, just to loop round into an "external" connector!
