GLK12232-25...

about 15-30 minutes after booting up...the current font that the LCD is using gets corrupted and starts displaying garbage characters...starts with only one letter but eventually screws them all up...

using LCD Center 2.0...with MBM5...and the email checking...

Post your INI file from LCDCenter, I had similar trouble here, but figured it out, the ini file was doing funky stuff in places...

will do when I get home...I'm at work right now, so I don't have access to the INI file...

one thing I did notice about LCD Center is that if you don't put a blank display as the last display in the list (say you have 4 displays...the 5th needs to be blank)...the timing gets screwed up and doesn't display the screens for very long...bug in the program I guess...

oh...and I'll be gettin some images up soon...

The program was modified to work with the graphic displays, not writen for it, so some bugs are to be expected.

Wll, the LCD has been around for a year or so, but the software was patched and modified to work with the graphic displays. Jo did his best to get it working.

Bob...I was here first...

the fonts now get screwed up within minutes of starting to use LCDCenter to display stuff on the unit...it is basically worthless to try to use it now...

If you try to use on of the demo programs, like MOGD, can you display to the screen no problem? with out messing up the fonts?

once I reload the fonts they display fine in MOGD...but as soon as I start using anything but that program the fonts start to get corrupted...I found out this weekend that it also happens when trying to use the Winamp plugin you guys use (according to the customer app page)

it isn't a speed issue because I set it to the lowest speed possible and it still happens...

are there any heat sensitive components on the LCD PCB (or the LCD itself)? I used a hot glue gun to attach the LCD to a faceplate cutout I did...could this be the problem?

There is no Winamp plug in trhat supports the GLK12232-25 any where yet. The plugins are only alpha numeric at this time. That might be corrupting the memory because of bad/weird commands getting recieved by the display from the winamp plugin.

well...that defines the problem for the winamp plugin...but up till this weekend I hadn't run the winamp plugin...so the problem with LCDCenter still remains...

are there any other proggies that work with the GLK12232-25 that I can try?

I talked with Jo about your problem, he suggested going at a lower speed (9600) and drop the time in the updates to something a little slower.
