For the MCE Edition will the remote work without having XP MCE?
As the product page mentions the remote is only supported on vista. As much as we like to intergrate with XP microsoft only allows 3rd parties to intergrate with Vista.
If you are on vista you do not need to run media center to actually use the remote the volume controls and a couple of other buttons will work fine with just vista. Others like the dvd menu buttons and lots of the other buttons naturally only make sense in media center.
