Hey all.

I've been reading since a couple of weeks now on these LCDs.

I'm about to order (waiting for new colors  ). At this time, the only choice left for me is a LK202-25. I would be better with a LK204-25PC for the high output GPOs, but I have no room ...

I have 2 3 1/2 bay free on my LianLi PC60... Is there any way to easyly mount it on 2 3 1/2 Lian Li bays? I saw pics for a plastic case, but i have a feeling it's harder on a Lian Li

I would rather not take the bracket because it's beige or black...

Thanks for any input provided!

MO, you should add an aluminium bracket to your product list!!!

Nice!

That is what I was thinking for a 20x2 mounting. Fits really nice on a Lian Li.

Still, I'm also trying to see pics of a 20x4 mounted in 3 1/2 bays.

Henry, you pasted a link in a previous post for a GLK12232-25-SM mounted in a 5 1/4 bay. Since this one can provides 4 lines, it will be perfect. I know you do dont provides mounting kit for this one. But do you still have the pics? I can't access the picture from the previous post.

Hrm, I have a Lian-Li PC60 and I was still debating about putting my 2041 into 2 3.5 bays.... currently I have hard drives mounted behind it, so I'd have to do something about that, and I'm looking for somewhere I could buy raw tooling aluminum for the lcd surround... if anyone knows where I could find that I'd be very appreciative...

Doesnt the 60 have the hard drive bay at the bottom? You are telling me you have > than 5 hard drives? That is rediculous. Why else would you *have* to mount them in the 3 1/2 area?

Actually I do.... my computer has a RAID level 0+1, 2 striped 30 gigs mirrored, I provide the free service of backing up other comp sci student's projects, I know its a kinda wierd setup and it takes a ton of space but until I can afford an independant computer for handling the I/O i'm kinda screwed heh.

Cypher, what PC Bay insert did you use? Your own? Is it 2 painted lian li bracket?

For now, I still don't know... I can get 20x4 characters in the GLK...-SM unit wich will fit in one 5 1/4 drive bay...

Software is what is backing me up a little bit...

its the mo stick on mounting kit, backed by a piece of plexy glass, cut to fit for the space, using the bezzel mounting holes...

If I'm correct, your LCD PCB takes up 3
3 1/2 bays, right?

Thanks for the pics, your mods are great!

Yes but only because he wanted to waste space. You can fit a 4x20 in two 3 1/2 with room to spare.

im not wasting space....i intentionally left space for switches...custom control pad, fan controls, leds for the gpo's, etc....you do know a mod is never finished...not to brag, but i think my lcd setup looks pretty sweet..and will be nicer when the lcd controls are added...

patb:
ya, its takes up the 3 spaces, but realy only cause i wanted it to....besides, if loosing the floppy is a problem, there is no worry with the lian-li at least, just mount it in further....i dont even use it anymore, but since i took the trouble of painting it, i decided to keep it in the case.
