How to protect power supply against applying reverse voltage?

Hi VFDSAW,
The easiest way to protect your board from reverse voltage application is to prevent it from happening in the first place! Choosing headers and connectors that are only compatible one way is a simple way of preventing reverse voltages from being applied to the board.
You can also use a 3 pin connector with pin 1 being power, pin 2 being ground, and pin 3 being NC. This would prevent power from being applied when the the header is accidentally connected backwards.
