Display is not detected
I'm having some problems with my VK202-25-USB. After I had installed the drivers I tried to run the LCDC auto detection but no display was found. The display showed 'Screen detected: N.A.'.
But when I run the program 'display tuner', the display is detected and I can send commands to the display or control contrast etc. So the connection seems to be okay.
I hope you can offer me a solution for my problem.
Best regards and thank you for your help!

Hi Peter,
Unfortunately, LCDC has not been updated to include our newer -25 line of USB displays. I believe you'll be able to manually set the display type to the older VK202-24-USB, which is very similar and should allow proper function.
If you have any further questions or concerns regarding LCDC or your new display, please don't hesitate to post.
Thanks,
~Troy

Hi Peter,
No worries, good to hear your display is up and running. LCDC can take a while to get used to, but it does open up many possibilities for you display. For additional ideas of what can be accomplished with that little screen, consider checking out our links page on the .ca site.

I wasn't even aware there was a new screen, if I can get the ID's it's easy to add.

Hi Mat,
That would be great, we've actually got two new products that have replaced the old -24-USB modules. The LK202-25-USB, module number 0x55 and the LK204-25-USB module number 0x57. The AGPOs (fan headers) are gone, but there are 6 regular GPOs and a Dallas One-Wire Header. Everything else should be the same.
We also have a new model, the LK204-7T-1U-USB, module number 0x2C, which functions much the same as the -25 version. However, it has three bicolor LEDs built in on GPOs 1 through 6 and a 7 button keypad, also built in. A tricolor backlight version is also offered.
If you need any more info on any of the new products, please don't hesitate to ask.
Thanks,
~Troy

Sorry about that Mat, I've worked here two years now and our web developer still thinks my name is Clark; I've just gone with it.
I've got a tentative xml list of our displays over to Henry that has basic module number, screen size, number of GPOs type information. Once he's picked out the relevant units I'll get that info over to you and answer any questions you may have.
