Hello,

I would like to use the MOS-AL162A-WB to connect to a processor running at 3V. Is it possible to run the UART directly to a 3V processor. alternatively, is there a suggested method on how to interface into a 3V processor?

Thanks,
Dan

Hello Dan,

The minumum VIH (input high) to the the TTL input of the MOS-AL162A is 3V. This is cutting it real close, in case the output of your host is not quite 3V.

You might want to investigate on using logic translators such as this one.

Best Regards,
