Windows CE Support?

Post by ego »

Greetings -

I'm currently developing a Windows CE device, and believe that your MX series of displays would work well as an intereface with the device. Is there current or future support of Windows CE?

You would be to use the MX series with ttl communications serial port. You would be able to communicate with our devices with almost any os or programming language as long as you get can access to a serial com port.

Windows CE Drivers - FTDI

Both VCP and D2XX drivers for WinCE.NET (4.2) are available. Contact FTDI Support to request drivers for your PDA.

e-mail: support1@ftdichip.com
subject: Windows CE Drivers for FT232 / FT245

When requesting drivers, please quote the target processor, the required driver type (VCP or D2XX) and the operating system.
Please note that FTDI devices will not function if the PDA does not have a host capability.

Also, you will need to modify the driver files to use our PID, the PID values are all listed in the manuals. Hope this help.
