Post by flatdog747 »

I am having problems getting uProject to run. I am using Win 7/64. I have tried running as administrator.

Hi Flatdog747,

Are you using a USB display or USB to serial converter? Does this error occur during autodetect?

Thanks,
Troy

Dear Troy,

I am using a VFD2041 with a serial to USB connector. This error occurs with or without the display plugged in.

Regards,

Philip

Problem solved - i didn't realise that I needed to install a driver for to serial to USB converter. All sorted now.

Good to hear Philip, thanks for the update.

With a USB to Serial converter, you'll notice that the autodetect does not function correctly. This is normal, uProject was created in a time when serial ports were commonplace and USB support minimal. The program will receive an update sometime in the future, but is still absolutely usable.
