RS232 Driven True vs Driven Inverted

I'm using a PIC16F688 with PICBASIC PRO Compiler to run a LCD2041 rev 1.5.
The RS232 TX output from the PIC is wired directly to the power connector pin 3. The 3 TTL connections are soldered closed. J3 is jumpered for 9600 baud, and the RS232 jumpers above the DB9 are installed.
This works fine as long as I set the RS232 output to "Driven True" (T9600 in PICBASIC)
Is there a method to run the LCD using RS232 "Driven Inverted" (N9600)?
Don

Hi Don,

Thank you for posting on the forum.

Unfortunately no, there is no way to communicate with the display using inverted serial data.
It is a neat feature found on some micro controllers that offer enhanced USART, but unfortunately the LCD2041 does not have this capability.

Best Regards,
