Some questions from a noobe

Post by noisy_lightning »

Hi there, i was looking around the net, and fell across these LCD panels (i assume panels is the right word for them) well after some searching about, i found this forum, had a look round, seen what they are capable of doing, and i have to say i am impressed!!! The blue and white LCD's would go great with my current modding project which i just started on. These is only one problem, i have spent the last few hours looking at reviews of a few different models and cant actually see the difference in some of them, managed to find one website which sells some, but it seems to me that they all do the same thing. http://store.over-clock.com/Case_Moddin ... ories.html i dont like the look of the MX212 because of the buttons on there, but whats the difference between the MX222 and the MX232 other than colour??

Anyway on with the questions

1. I assume they work fine with windows? as quite a lot of reviews i have read have been using them under linux

on the orbital website http://www.matrixorbital.com/pages/prod ... =2&CatID=5 there are different colours, is this a per model thing? or can it be changed on each one??
and do they come shipped with a 5 1/2' mount as well

I hope not to have been a pest, i do very much like the look of this product, but i would just like some more information before i commit to buying on of them.

Hello, the differences within the MX series units are the color of the displays, choice of keypad overlay, overlay colors(beige, black, aluminum) and options with or without 7 button keypad overlay buttons. The MX series includes the display, bracket and screws, cable, software and manual on CDrom:

MX2= LCD 20x2 PC bay insert
MX3= VFD 20x2 PC bay insert
MX4= LCD 20x4 PC bay insert
MX5= VFD 20x4 PC bay insert

Our units do work with Windows........please refer to the link provided below:

I hope I have answered all of your questions. Please feel free to contact me direct with any additonal questions or concerns.

Regards,
Bernaidne
