Missing i2c.cfg file and manual confusion

Hi folks,

I'm having some issues getting a GTT480272A going on I2C. I know my code works, as I've had other displays working on I2C.

Looking in the System folder of the SD card, and the I2C.cfg file isn't there. Would the display just default to 0x50 if this file is missing?
How do I get it back if it is needed?

According to the Manual (Rev 1.5), if that file isn't there the display will switch to USB mode?

Also in the manual, two versions say two different things.
Example, in Rev 1.3, for selecting I2C mode, the manual says to jumper the I2C pads, and leave all the other protocol jumpers open.
But, in the Rev 1.5 manual, it says to jumper the I2C pads, and leave all other protocol jumpers open, save USB.

Which is correct?

Solved, regarding the I2C config issue. Just created a text file, with "00 80" in it, named it i2c.cfg, and threw it into the system folder. :)

Display now works.

Lenny,

Are you still using an older GTT480272A? Do you not have a new GTT43A or GTT50A or GTT70A?

Hi Henry,

Current prototypes - 2 of them, are using the older GTT480272A, but we will switch to the newer version for the next run.
I'll also be buying the 800 x 480 GTT, to try a few ideas out for other projects. :)
