LCDStudio Status or Updates?

Could we get an update on the status of LCDStudio? It seems like support and maintenance for the software is crumbling, and there is no real alternative, even paid, to drive the Matrix Typhoon. The LCDstudio forums have been down for months now, and all of the useful plugins and community assistance for the software with it. There was some discussion about the site being moved or transferred, but for as long as it has been down by now, I'm beginning to wonder if it will ever be brought back to life.

The last update that I know of to the software was the April 2011 pack and while I'm a big fan of "if it isn't broke, don't fix it", I, as well as quite a few others that were on the LCDStudio forum, are affected by the intermittent freezing up of the LCDStudio software on Windows x64. The GX is really premium hardware, but it's sad to see the data on it froze up all the time. If I could just get this one bug fixed in an update, I would be a happy customer.

I know the Typhoon line probably isn't a big money maker for Matrix (or maybe it is, I dunno) and you guys are really busy conquering the world on other projects, but could maybe somebody take the shackles off of Ray for a little bit and let him out of the dungeon so he can show some love to LCDstudio and us GX Typhoon users? :)

Yeah the domain transfer from my old dutch hosting to my new north American one didn't go as smoothly as i hoped, and the domain got locked for a 2 month period, I just poked the hosting guys again to see what's up, either way, support isn't dead, the site is ready to go with active forum on the new server, it's just waiting for the dns services to catch up.. yeah i'm not thrilled either on how smooth this went.....

Well, technical glitches aside, I'm glad to hear that LCDStudio will be making a comeback tour soon. :) It is really, really great software, and I'd hate to see it just disappear from existence because it was in need of caretaker.

Would you be able to take some time and look at the process freezing issue on Win x64? It happens to me on a fairly regular basis, and while I've captured some memory dumps and ran some process debugging on them, I'm not able to do much to fix the source of the glitches. I'd be happy to share with you what I've been able to find in regard to this, if you'd like.

I know that LCDStudio isn't strictly a Matrix Orbital product, but it is what was provided by them to drive the GX Typhoon. I bought the Typhoon hardware because I was able to set up my displays in LCDStudio beforehand and was able to get things to look exactly how I wanted before actually buying the display. I didn't discover until after I had purchased the hardware that the software would quit working after a number of hours. Would it be best to wait until the LCDStudio forums are back up and request assistance for it there, or would it be possible to work on the LCDStudio freezing issue here since it is in regard to the Matrix Typhoon?
