Lcd configurator

Post by gamie »

Just installed the GX, but not yet finished. The LCD configurator does not detect GX, so I cannot continue with installation (configuring backlight and splash screen). The Lcd just displays the time, graph of some kind, and a message 'drivecore is idle.'

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate 64 service pack 1
Corei7 920
MSI Eclipse motherboard
12 gig of memory
2 Evga 260
Sony BluRay
Samsung dvd burner

Went to device manager says the driver is working.
When power the computer GX logo appears. Thanks for your reply.

There is an issue on some 64 bit systems that you manually have to stop the drivercore service before you can edit the bootupscreen (and other settings) and restart is after you are done. Sorry for this inconvenience we're looking in tracking this issue down and fixing it in a future update.

There is a previous post "no device found" in this forum which is similiar to my problem. I want to give it a try, but don't know the steps, especially "retyping the FW upgrade app" part.

- Open up the control panel
- View Local Services
- Locate The DriverCore Service in the list
- Right click it,select Stop.

Start the GX Defaults Application it should detect your GX now.

When you are done, right click the DriverCore Service again and click start.

Tried it still can't detect it. I went to local services, right click Drivecore, selected stop, clicked on LCD defaults configuration utility, it didn't detect it, went back to Drivecore services, selected start, and still is not detected.

I think I'll just delete everything and reinstall the whole thing.
