Hi,
I am currently working on a project that includes 20x2 alphanumeric display.
I need help in selection of the LCD product.
Here are the details of the project..

"
A display with Keypad (I saw a 7 key keypad offered) from Matrix orbital ..
will be connected to some 8bit or 16 bit microcontroller using serial interface.
The microcontroller will read the keypad and read/write data from the LCD display.
I can work with a cheap alphanumeric display.
Also does Matrix O. have a recomemdation for the 8/16 bit microcontroller ???

"
Thanks in advance,
Amit

Hello Amit,

Thanks for your post.

Thanks also for considering our displays. Our LK202-25 should be able to meet all your requirements, because it has:
-keypad interface
-20x2 alphanumeric display
-serial interface - it offers RS232 / TTL / I2C interface

Because of the keypad requirement, the MOS / X-Board which you may have originally had in mind, will not do.

As per the micro controller to control the display, any one that has USART or I2C interface will do; to name some: Atmel's AVR series, Microchip PIC, Rabbit Microcontrollers, etc.

I hope these help.

Thanks and Best Regards,

the -24-USB units are being discontinued, the new -25 series you are currently looking at will available for ordering for a long long time.
