need active contrast control?

Post by chris dude »

Hi! Does the MOP LCD need active contast control to accomodate varying ambient temperatures? Would the contrast ever need to change after finding a good VEE value on the bench? Are there any beniefits to actively control the contrast?

Thanks!
Chris

Hello Chris,

Thanks for your post.

It is good to have active contrast control for the following reasons:
- variance in brightness (environment where the display will be placed)
- variance in temperature, as you already mentioned
- subjectivity to user's preference
