Hi,
Quick question...
Do LCD's and VFD's use the same software? I like the looks of the VFD's better, by looking at the pics on the web anyway. They appear to be a lot brighter.
I want to put one in my new Lian-Li PC-70 case, and I was just wondering if I could manage it with the same tools used for LCD's.
Thanks, and sorry for being a complete moron
Serious n00b question
VFDs and LCDs can use the same software. The only difference will be contrast and brightness control. Other then that they share a common command set. I'm going to post some pics of my Lian Li case tomorrow
The difference in VFDs and LCDs is VFDs do not get affected by temperature. In cold weather LCDs slow down , this can be seen if you leave your cell phone in the car in winter (or freezer). VFDs will have the same speed at -20 and +20, so really good for out door use.
