I'm working on a spectrum analyzer plugin for winamp and I would like some comments.

Doesn't do much yet, except show the spectrum analyzer.

Thats a nice little plugin you've created there! I've been wanting an analyser for my LCD for ages!

Here are some pics for the rest of you:

additions which would be nice:

Ability to change contrast
To be able to change style of lines etc (IE Thicker)
To be able to have the drop off feature.

Thanks for your suggestions.

I've added some features:

Thickness of bars, spacing between them and contrast is now adjustable. And you can now select the com port from the configuration screen.

Coooooooool! Any chance of seeing a song title int here somewhere? Perhaps on a second screen? You could use the 'Clean' font to make it nice and small

Cheers,

000000!
New Version! Very nice, just what I was looking for.

Now, more suggestions :smile::

Variable Sensitivity (to make more use of the display, on my machine it doesn't usually use more than half :-/ Maybe its just mine?)
Song title...possibly scrolling accross the top of the LCD?
Falloff bars like you get on WA, as an option!

Then it will 0//|| some more
Anyone want me to post pics of the modified version 2?

I've added an option for the song title (scrolling accros the top).

And I think I have added support for the GLC 24064 (Henry, maybe you can test this, because I don't have one).

Pheonix: What is the "falloff bars option". Is it those white dots that fall down slowly?

The 240x64 works

it's a little slow on the 240x64 (if the title is scrolling), but it's still cool!!! It will be a good test for the new VZ24064-20....

I thought it would be slower. It now works by checking which pixels have been set and which have been cleared. It then sends that information to the lcd (using as few bytes as possible). On a GLK 12232 there is a lot less pixels, so at 115200 bits/s it's not a problem, but a 24064 has a lot more.

So what is this VZ24064-20 you mentioned?

It's a new and improved graphic LCD(s) (a number of them are to be realsed)... we should see 3-4 times the speed improvement over the current graphic LCDs... I can't say much, but we are looking for "alpha and beta" testers over the next few weeks for testing and software development, e-mail me if you are interested...

I would really like to see more graphic stuff  I'm really liking your plugin

I forgot to mention that I included a waveform oscilliscope in the last version.

It's a beta version, because it's sort of slow and doesn't look so good at the moment. I could probably improve it if I make it a left and right oscilliscope and make it a bit smaller.
