Connecting Power to GLK19264-7T-1U Serial

Post by ssingh »

Dear Friends,

We have purchased one GLK19264-7T-1U Serial LCD Display.

Can anyone please inform us about the power connections to be made on socket number 1 having 4 pins. (Please refer the attached picture)

We could not find this information in manual.

With regards
Shourya

Hello Shourya,

Here is the pin out for the Power Cable Standard Connector marked as 1 in the GLK19264-7T-1U figure you referred to in your first post:

1 +5VDC Power
2 GND
3 GND
4 No Connect

Pin 1 being the pin closest to the other white connector, the Power / Data Connector. You only need to connect power on either the Power Cable Standard Connector or the Power/Data Connector. There is no need to use both.

What usually connects to the Power Cable Standard Connector is the
PCS Power Cable Standard, which usually can be found in ATX PC power supplies.

I hope this helps.

Hi Shourya,

Correct, the floppy power cable we call it. Red wire for the +5VDC, yellow for the +12VDC. For pin 4 on the connector, it does not go anywhere on the display module. So, +12VDC on the floppy power cable will not go anywhere on the board.

Thank you for asking, as improper power can definitely damage the display. As double check, make sure when you connect the floppy power cable, the yellow wire goes to pin 4.

Thank you and Best Regards,
