MOGD# error message uploading a font

Post by rgmsnellville »

I am using a netbook with win 7 starter edition with MOGD# and can draw lines and clear the screan etc on my GLK19264-7T-1U. However, I can't upload a font. I get a "there was a problem" non descriptive error message when attempting to upload a font.

Apparently there is no font currently loaded so I can not display any text.

I also can not upload bitmapped graphics correctly.

Any tips?

Hi Richard,

Windows 7 can be tricky for MOGD#; the program has to access files on your computer for which it may need permission, causing an error. Please try installing MOGD# outside your program files folder (I keep it on my desktop) and remember to run as an administrator.

Thanks,

Great to hear you were able to solve the problem Richard.

For anyone else with a similar problem, sometimes writing over a bitmap or font can cause upload trouble that a quick filesystem wipe and power cycle will solve.
