Discovering existing setting values

Post by sredmyer »

I have an LK202-25 and I will be managing the display and keypad via a VB 6 application. I have managed to create an app which exercises most of the features of the display but I can not find a way to discover (read) the setting (ie. contrast, brightness, etc) values.

Are there any functions for reading these values?

Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,

I'm not the right person to be answering this as I'm a hardware guy, but I don't think you can read back any settings.

I know it's not "pretty" but what you may be able to do is store the settings you are interested in the user block (section 11.3 in the manual) when you setup the display, then read back the user block when you want to poll the LK. Of course this means that you need to write your settings twice, once to set the function and a second time to save the byte into the EEPROM, but it may work for you. Anyways it's just an idea - as allways good luck.
