what typeface set does this LCD use ? I have tried all the Ascii values to get extended chars, but it all seems to be Hyroglyphs and does't correspond with any known installed system font.

SO you have to guess what it will output. Only standard a-z, A-Z 1-9 and shifted Chars !"$%^&*()_+~@/|[]{}:;.,? are correct, except the

just check one of the Alphanumeric manuals.
