Fitting A M.O. To Make A Stealth CD/DVD Drive

Post by Fuzz »

OK People I need help!!!

You've all seen cd and dvd drives being stealthed for CM's and LL's (like here)
Image
and you've all seen the mo at kustoms with the alu face (here)

Now what I would like to do is to stealth my drive BUT using a MO and not the normal drive plate, so that my drive is hidden behind the mo.

Is this possible???

Also another option is this.
Someone must of seen those cd drives where the front flips down for the tray to come out.
How about fitting the mo like that so that it flips down for the tray to come out?

Is this possible???

Ideas and thoughts please!

Thanks in advance.

I don't have an aluminium case like that.

However I would say it would be possible. Is the KustomPCs faceplate just a faceplate, or is it stuck to the front of the bay insert thing which normally has the keypad on? If so, you could rip that bit off...you need to keep the wieght down...that would be my concern. Also getting the cable to feed back in! What you could do is run the cables inside the drive and out the back.

Would definately need some serious thinking, but if you did pull it off, it would be pretty legendary!
