Is there a way to change the brightness of the LCD backlit in software...?

and it is possible to change it in hardware with a potentiometer or a fixed value resistor?

The serial wire that i use for my lcd2041 as a trouble on the receive line...

I tried the IO Matrix Tester to set to use the key pad...without results...
I'm able to use lcdc and uploading the splash screen...

I made a keypad using push buttons and it is not working...
I used the row/colomn pattern but maybe I missing a option...

how to tell the lcd to use the keypad and not the gpo's ?

I brought the Wide Voltage version because my power supply output at
5.28v just above the nominal rating of 4.75-5.25....
So it will run on the 12V line....Like my LCD2041-WB-V

So I will use the gnd/foil for 12v gnd.....

So I have build the parallel port 8 gpo's to use with LCDC...
Works great but...I need your help.... I have no idea to what to do with
my 8 gpo's....

Currently I use a LCD2041 on Com1 with LCD...

I want to add a LK402-12 to the Com2....
The question is : can I set LCDC to have two instances running simultanously using a com port for each...

LCDC 1 ---) Com1 - LCD2041
LCDC 2 ---) Com2 - LK402-12 with keypad

Will it be difficult to setup?

I want to use a 2x40 MO display like a remote on my pc to play mp3 on my home theater.....

The question is : can I have 50ft of good quality shielded cable without problems a 19.2kbps or does 9.8kpbs is enough to refresh the screen at 6-8fps?

You cannot power the lcd via the serial port....serial port doesn't have "power out" you can supply +5v via the serial plug on the lcd but you have to take this power from the psu.... from personnal experience you should use the wide voltage for computer use...the lcd work on 4.75 to 5.25v...
