Re: GLK240128-25 stopped responding after firmware update 8.4 to 8.6

Hi Eddy, I appreciate your post on our forums. With the release of firmware revision 8.5, we transitioned to using 2 byte font ID's instead of 1 byte font ID's. By increasing the number of font ID bytes, we've also increased the number of ID's that can be assigned to fonts stored on the display. Use...

Re: Trace graph

Hi APPAV,

What ID have you given to your trace, and what values are you sending to the display when attempting to update your trace?

Cheers,

Re: No display found

Hi APPAV, No worries, I understand. Focus on what you need to get done :) I would still like to determine what is causing the issue so that we can properly support future customers, but I won't want to take you away from your work. As a final query (for now at least), could you tell me what OS your ...

Re: No display found

Hi APPAV, I've consulted one of our engineers regarding your issue, and it sounds like the issue might be caused with the drivers Windows supplies. Windows should automatically come with WinUSB drivers allowing the GTT's Mass Storage mode to be automatically detected, but in the past we found that c...

Re: No display found

Hi APPAV,

What happens when you connect your GTT to your PC via the Mass storage header while in regular operating mode (Mass Storage jumper removed)? The GTT should appear as a "GTT Bulk-IO Device" under Universal Serial Bus devices in Device Manager.

Cheers,
Daniel

Re: No display found

Hi APPAV, Welcome to the forums! I understand you're experiencing difficulties connecting your GTT to the GTT Designer. It sounds like you're currently running the newest GTT Designer revision, and you've updated to the latest GTT firmware. Have you updated your GTT's bootloader as well? The bootloa...

Matrix Orbital EVE2 TFT, Servo and an AMS Magnetic Sensor

In this project we are going to play with a magnetic sensor, a generic servo, and a Matrix Orbital EVE2 SPI TFT to show position with an on-screen gauge. We wanted to test our new Scoodo EVE2 Shield, play with our 3D printer to make the knob and test the speed of the EVE2-35G SPI TFT on-screen updat...

Re: Screen Locks Up

Hi Nick, Sounds like you're running the most recent release! Just a piece of advice just in case you aren't already, I suggest you continuously read the returns from the display. Every time a label or gauge is updated on screen, the GTT will generate a return message and place it in its return buffe...

Re: Screen Locks Up

Hi Nick,

I'm glad to hear you were able to fix the issue!

Out of curiosity, what GTT Designer build are you running? Also, are you using GTT2.5 labels and Gauges, or are you using Legacy GTT2.0 labels and gauges?

Cheers,
Daniel

Re: GTT43a I2C Bug

Hi iotexpert,

After talking to our firmware designer, it sounds like the GTT's processor is capable of clock stretching, but it has been firmware disabled. I'll see if we can provide you a beta firmware with clock stretching enabled to see if that helps the situation.

Re: I2C Stops Working

Hi Alan,

I'll do additional testing with a GTT running the most recent firmware release to see if I can brick the i2c port.

Cheers,
Daniel

Re: GTT43a I2C Bug

Hi iotexpert, I have set up a test bench similar to what you described and was unable to replicate the issue you've described. The GTT's processor is capable of clock stretching so that shouldn't be the cause of the issue. Did you have any scripts attached to your button or does your host process an...

Hi iotexpert,

I'll take a look at the I2C bus and test this specific situation. I'll let you know what I find.

Re: GTT 2.5 Driver License

Hi iotexpert, Looks like you've found our github page. We'll be posting a lot more code on our github page in the upcoming months. Our code examples will be similar to the appnotes we make available on our support site and can help kick start development for new users. All of the code that we provid...

Re: Text Toggle Button

Hi Alan, I apologize for the delay! 1. You are correct, 250 objects are part of a new protocol. At the moment, we haven't officially released any documentation about the GTT25 protocol. That said, when working in the GTT designer, you can press the Report button after generating/deploying your proje...
