Re: GTT Design: Screen Tracking Example

Hi Haz, The GTT has an "Echo Command" that can be used to test communication. When the GTT receives an Echo command, it will simply return whatever it was requested to echo via the protocol it was requested on. e.g if you request an echo on a serial line, the GTT will return the specified ...

Re: Will GLK24064R-25-1U-USB-TCI work with LCDproc?

Hi nwestfal, The commands for the GLK24064 and the GLK24064R are identical, so the 24064R should function identically as the 24064 when a new product ID is dropped in. I also noticed when I did add the product ID, and ran the GLK24064R and GLK24064, there were noticeable graphical glitches. The prop...

Re: Will GLK24064R-25-1U-USB-TCI work with LCDproc?

Hi nwestfal, I apologize for the delay. The GX is an EOL product, so it will be difficult to find. It looks like none of our main distributors still list the item in their catalog. If you can find one from a smaller distributor, you'll be in luck, as it does work very well with LCD4Linux without nee...

Re: Will GLK24064R-25-1U-USB-TCI work with LCDproc?

Hi nwestfal, Welcome to the forums! I've given it a quick test, and unfortunately it doesn't look like LCDproc has updated it's drivers to include the GLK24064R series of displays. When I attempted to run the client, LCDproc was unable to properly detect the GLK24064R, and returned an error. There i...

Re: LCD2041 Screen freeze with garbage

Hi Radut, It's unfortunate to hear that the script didn't resolve the issue. At this point, I am unsure at what may be causing your communication woes :( There is still one more option we can try. We can try wiping the display eeprom, and resetting the display's memory entirely. Doing so will wipe o...

Re: LCD2041 Screen freeze with garbage

Hi Radut, Thanks for running the script. It looks like there might be a data lock placed on the display that is preventing commands to be sent outside of manual override mode. I have attached another script that should reset the display settings just like last time. I have also added another command...

Re: GLK19264a handshake bug ?

Hi Paul, I've done a couple of tests regarding the the software flow control. I wasn't capable of fully replicating your scenario, but I was able to get something similar. For my testing, I am sending data to the display every 10ms, and monitoring the returns coming from the display. As I attempted ...

Re: LCD2041 Screen freeze with garbage

Hi Radut, I have attached a file to this message. The .usf script file attached should reset the baud rate, contrast and brightness back to factory settings. Please try uploading this script to your display. In order to upload the file, please do the following: - Unzip the file. A .usf file should a...

Re: GLK19264a handshake bug ?

Hi Paul,

Could you provide a few details regarding the size of the data chunk you are sending, and how frequently you send it? I would like to try and replicate the issue here as closely as possible.

Cheers,
Daniel

Re: GLK19264a handshake bug ?

Hi Paul, I understand that you are facing a few issues regarding the GLK19264A's software flow control.Have you adjusted the "Almost Full" and "Almost empty" values using the "Turn Software Flow Control On" command (1.7 in the GLK19264A manual)? Using this command, you ...

Re: LCD2041 Screen freeze with garbage

Hi Radut, Are you able to read any data from the display? For example, in the main tab there is a "Read Module Type" command button. Using that button should query a response from the display. When you use that button, does the display return any data? Also under the main tab, there is a c...

Re: LCD2041 Screen freeze with garbage

Hi Radut, Thanks for your troubleshooting. I appreciate how you have provided images of each step you've taken. I've reviewed the values you sent to the display in step 1. Your uProject formatting, command byte, and command prefix are perfect, but the "33" value you have sent to your displ...

Re: LCD2041 Screen freeze with garbage

Hi Radut, Welcome to the forums! It looks like your display is communicating at a different Baud rate, and the difference in speed is causing unexpected characters to be drawn on screen. I advise you to boot the display into manual override mode, and attempt to establish communication with the displ...

Re: GTT Design Software can not detect my LCD

Hi elfredy, In order for the GTT Designer to detect your display, you will need to connect your PC to the GTT's mass storage USB header. In addition to that, you will need to apply appropriate power to the display, as the GTT cannot be powered through it's Mass Storage USB header. The USB drivers wi...

Re: GTT Design Software can not detect my LCD

Hi elfredy,

Which USB header have you connected to on the GTT?

The GTT Designer will only detect a display if there is a connection to the Mass Storage USB header.

Cheers,
Daniel
