it's lcd.. i'm pretty sure its just +5v but wanted to besure. i guess if it was 12v and i plugged in 5v it wouldnt harm as much as trying the reverse. just trying to save some hassle.

hey, i got this lcd a long time ago and I have forgotten what the voltage is on it. I fried a different one because I didn't pay attention to this 'small' detail and don't care to make the same mistake. i know its 20x4 but unsure which voltage. if someone could help me out and tell me which voltage ...

i ment by, in the 20x4 -25pc , it has white led's, i was wondering what the width of them is because they fit into a grooved molding. thanks

470 ohm resistor? and your sure of this? I might just do this because i think i slightly blew one of my LED's, kinda dark on part of the lcd. Who knows, time to find 5v flat red leds. Btw, anyone got the size of those things across?

yea i looked into changing the lighting, but never found 12v leds, and i've forgotten how to wire it up to use 5v instead.. (if only i didn't sleep during HS physics.)

yep, edit win.ini in windows, save it, next boot it will load what ever program you set as shell.

can i get specs on the 2 led's used in the 204-25, the one with 2 leds on the side. So that way i can try replacing them with diff color.

it runs winamp in windows, it just doesnt load explorer, ie no icons, no background taskbar, start bar, nothing but winamp.
