We're knee deep in prototyping the 3d models at the moment, so no firm time line as we will have a couple of prototype rounds. All I can say is that we'll release it when it's done. It will have direct access to the touch screen front of the GTT. Just to clarify, this bay insert will only allow you ...

Hi Rob,

The GTT has no I/O capabilities at this point. This precludes it from monitoring or controlling anything. A two PC bay insert is being planned however, for mounting in PC applications.

Hi Arthur,

The only ones that have the 3.3V core are the LK204-7T-1U and the GLK19264-7T-1U. Everything else we have is 5V core.

Welcome to Matrix Orbital Forums va3bit, Unfortunately that is not a typo. While the supply is 5V, the display itself is 3.3V internally. One suggestion I can make is to check out: http://ics.nxp.com/support/documents/interface/pdf/an97055.pdf It outlines a way to do bi-directional I2C shifting with...

Hi mattio,

This is a rather strange situation. If you double click on the .cat files it will tell you if the catalogs are valid. If they aren't you could try downloading the drivers again.

We don't allow startup scripts (on this product anyway). You can set a startup screen by storing the startup bitmap in slot 0, and you can have saved settings for a lot of commands which will be restorted on startup, however that is about all we can do. For implementing it into an MCU, my best bet w...

Sorry for slipping through the cracks. Our displays predominately have many common features. Commands like clear screen work on every display we have. The first major difference will be the graphics vs alphanumeric. Obviously draw line doesn't work on an A/N display, and custom characters are...

The pictures on our website will clearly distinguish the colors for on or off, which will help you in picking which colour to purchase. The logic levels to each pixel are really irrelevant to the end result, and if anything the wording could be changed to: 0: Background 1-255: Foreground But we felt...

Unfortunately, depending on the display, both could correct. The most common display we sell is a yellow/green display, and when you draw, the 1-255 is actually black, while 0 allows the background colour through. An inverse display, well, inverses this situation. In short, nobody has really complai...

Sorry for the delayed response.

The easiest place to get support for LCDC is over at their forums:
http://www.lcdc.cc/forum.htm

We don't make LCDC. Their forums will be able to provide far more detailed answers to your questions.

Hi Rivis35,

You can grab the latest drivers from:

http://updates.lcdstudio.com/ftdi/mtx_f ... 4.16-2.zip

They should work for you.

A problem with the baud rate seems like a good guess. If you connect row 5 and column 1 together on startup, either with a jumper or pressing the appropriate key on a keypad, you will enter a "Manual Override" mode. This mode will always startup with a 19,200 buad, so you should be able to...

The answer is unfortunately a little complicated. The data in our datasheet is provided by the manufacturer of the displays, which uses a S6A0069 compatible chip (which is in turn HD44780 compatible). So simply digging up a single S6A0069 datasheet may not be enough. I would be surprised if the disp...

The coordinates are 1 based. 0 is invalid. While this isn't the "normal" convention, it was carried over from the alpha-numeric display where the upper left was row 1 column 1.
