Life of the Display

Dear Matrix Orbital:

How long will the actual LCD screen for an LK204 last? I see in the datasheet where the LED half life is for the backlight, but I do not see the expected half-life or lifetime of the actual display matrix. Can you all shed some light on this statistic?

I finally after several tries got the commands to be remembered correctly. I had to play around with the order of commands for a while. After a few tries, I finally got the device to accept commands correctly and remember them correctly.

LK204 Boot-Up Problem

I am having a problem with a LK204-7T-1U. When I first turn the unit on it displays nothing on the screen, and the unit will not respond to any commands given to it. If I power cycle the unit holding down the factory reset button on the unit, everything works fine. I have tried setting the remember ...

Dale,

Why not hook the power supply for the LCD through a MOSFET so you can ensure a reset has occurred. The embedded controller would control the MOSFET. This will allow you to reset the device for a few ms or even seconds, and then bring the device back online when you are ready to.

Factory Default

Is there a way to factory default the display? I have a LK204-7T-1U in which I am looking to restore to the factory settings. After I changed the baud rate, the screen goes blank, and I can't communicate with the device. I am switching from 19200 to 9600, and the display doesn't respond after settin...
