Regarding the crash of 89,i can't be sure what caused it, but most likely it was my fault. What happend was some text appeared on the screen. I could not catch what it said, But it looked like some debug output of some sort. I will take note of what i'm doing in case it happens more times. I ...

Typo(s) in manual?
I noticed that Manual Update (4.19) and Scroll (4.20) has the same command number, 254 89 .. in the manual. I guess that one or both of them are incorrect, also 89 seems to crash the display. What are the correct values for these two commands? :geek: [EDIT] Manual Update should be 91 i think, but wh...

PyMaOrb: Python module for LK204-25-USB displays
Here is a Python module for communicating with LK204-25-USB display (and compatible displays?). Read the source before using, along with your display's manual. It uses the pyserial library. Event if it doesn't work with your display model, the source should give you an idea of how you can program yo...

Thank you for the answer. The -422 in the part number of the first red display you've found signifies an RS422 compliant unit, for a serial (and TTL and I2C) solution you'll want the LK204-25-R. However, getting power to a serial unit may be tricky without a floppy power cable. But is it possible? I...

I'm new to display programming, but wouldnt it be possible to say make an arrow character of some sort, and have that move alongside the lines as the user press up or down? Or maybe have the selected line start and end with [ and ]. Not sure if blinking a line is possible, but if it is that would be...

LK204-25-422-R or LK204-25-R, which should i choose?
Hi I'm looking for a red display, and have found LK204-25-422-R and LK204-25-R to my liking. But i'm wondering what is the difference, or can i use either one of them? I would prefer to connect the display all internally in the computer chassis, so i'm also wondering what cables i should get to make...
