Hi Mitch, Glad you got your GLK working. I do have 1 minor concern regarding your initialization code. The way you're using the remember function isn't quite right and depending on the rest of your code, could be setting you up for a premature failure of the configuration EEPROM. The Remember functi...

Hi Mitch, The Manual Override function temporarily restores the GLK to factory defaults, it isn't a permanent fix. As soon as the GLK is restarted, the stored settings take over again. What you need to do, is start your GLK in Manual Override mode, then enable the remember function, and rewrite, all...

Hi Steve, Here is a link to EDT 24x2 display. http://www.edtc.com/edt/Products/specs/EW24210.pdf If yours is similar, then the 2x8 header drives the backlight (pins 15/16). Now if your display has the two signal on the right side (Display facing you) I suspect it has the EL or CCFL backlight option....

Hi Steve, I can't find a datasheet for your display. I know it s an Emerging Display Technology product, but I suspect it's obsolete. EDT only has 1 current offering in the 24x2 and as far as I can tell, it is pin compatible with the LK control board. But that determination is based on a lot of piec...

Hi Steve, Typically we need, at minimum, the physical size of the current display. If you send me the size of the display, and the size of the PCB, or the displays part number, I can try to find you something that is close to your current display. That being said, I can't make any guarantees to find...

Hi Steve, Unfortunately it's not as simple as replacing the display. The MO board has a fixed character layout that cannot be changed by swapping display. If you swap the display, and assuming all other parameters remaining the same, the display will still function as a 20x2. The additional 4 charac...

Hi, While what you want to do is possible, it will void you warranty and as such is an action that we can not support as we can not be seen as condoning the modification of the hardware. The 7T units has a 7 button keypad. If this isn't sufficient for your application, check out any of the -25 units...

Hi Faentur, If I was in your position I would simply go out to your nearest techie type store, buy the cheapest USB cable you can find, strip off the peripheral end (the end that doesn't go into the computer), separate the red and black wires (cut the other two wires clean so there is no chance of a...

Hi Matt, You definitely have it connected properly. Lets just walk through the uProject a little bit phase a little bit. With the LCD0821 connected to you PC and the Power, start uProject. For now lets keep this as simple as possible, don't worry about using the autodetect, simply select the com por...

Hi Matt, We have an application called uProject that we use for testing the functionality of our modules. Try connecting your LCD0821 to a PC and testing it with uProject. Here is link to it: http://www.matrixorbital.ca/software/software_alpha/uproject/ If you can't get any results with uProject dro...

Morning, After looking at your pictures I'm fairly positive that both units are suffering from a hardware problem. Please contact support@matrixorbital.ca and request an RMA and we'll take look at them to see what has happened. As for you questions: 1) Is this a common problem? Absolutely Not! That'...
