as my pc is now sat behind my desk i am wondering how i can show my lcd, an external enclosure of some kind i suppose, are there any off the shelf enclosures i could purchase. Any help appreciated.

It does work fine on vista 64, although the need to let defender run the program is a pain but bearable.
