Re: Arduino EVE2 / EVE3 Examples

Rudolph,

You know me - I sometimes get confused. I was thinking it was the BT81x that went to 80. I have not even changed my own code from 60 yet...

Re: Arduino EVE2 / EVE3 Examples

Wow, that's ugly. I have never seen anything remotely like that. I will look at the code and I might see if I can run it here. At this point I have no idea what it is, but it doesn't look right, normal, or even familiar. edit: The code is too basic to doubt. I could ask for your setup code, but it i...

Re: Arduino EVE2 / EVE3 Examples

I just want to confirm. This "solid bar" thing you are talking about - is it that "uninitialized and not working" thing that Eve does? Like a flash and then fade? If so, then the problem is probably quite near the start. Is your system power cycled between tries? I have been look...

Re: Making a GTT Desktop Case

I imagine that there could be a thousand questions about this depending on the skill-set and experience of the question asker, so I want to try to address a few that I can think of in the form of a FAQ. Q: Material issues? A: These have all been printed in PLA - nice non greasy PLA from filaments.ca...

Making a GTT TFT Display Desktop Case

I was finishing a desktop case for a GTT module and wanted to demonstrate the process. First I start with a 3D print of our case design. This first photo is after initial application of some Bondo. The specific Bondo product is "Glazing and Spot Putty" which is a one part paste full of VOC...

I can't see the I2C implimentation being the cause. The outputs drive about 25mA shorted, so maybe a couple shorted outputs could account for it, but a couple nS here and there just doesn't seem like enough. As for sleep, no, they don't sleep. They can sleep when they're dead. I'm sure that the new ...

Wiseguy, While it worries me to hear about hot PICs, I have a sort of standard reply to questions like this. Hot to humans and hot to electronics are really two different things. If you can touch it at all, it probably isn't really hot. That said, I don't remember a PIC getting warm, so if anyone ca...

You are looking for this - it is the manual which describes the command set, http://www.matrixorbital.ca/manuals/LK_series/LK204-24-USB/LK204-24-USB_100.pdf but you probably don't really want it. What you want is more knowledge about how to use LCDC. That, unfortunately, just takes a little time. Ha...

Not at this time, no. We do have new versions of these displays in the lab, but I do not know the specific capabilities of them.

Does anyone else know if this is addressed in the new systems?

I think you'll be ok. The MX is not as deep and it doesn't have "enough" screw-holes, but the rails hold it in nice. It works.

The deterioration curve is steeper earlier in the life of the display. Second halflife is also 10,000 hours, but constitutes only a 25% drop in brightness (though that is just a spec and doesn't probably fit the curve). This all sounds a lot worse than it really is. In common applications, you proba...

I have a Antec case and I don't know if its "toolless", but it has slide in things for drives. I just mounted the MX unit as if it were a CD-ROM drive and its sitting there looking "normal".

I probably don't understand the issue.

Cable tie? If you have a separate fan AND a fan in the power supply, then put it in the air flow of the separate fan.
