Cheese - any particular reason you didn't use an RGB led?

Ghoast - The keypad control seems to be ok. You will probably hate me for this but..could you put in the option to have keyboard AND temp control together please? VFD brightness works fine, just the gui values go from 3-0 rather than 0-3. The flashing cursor is still there. I assume the "backli...

Ghoast - The VFD brightness works but is reversed. ie. 0=bright, 3=dim. The display on/off works fine but the blinking cursor still blinks, there doesn't appear to be an option to stop it. The decimal codes are cursor on=74 off=75 and blink on=83 off=84. A minor point: Adjusting lcd contrast diplays...

I agree that a software only solution would be the most popular but I have doubts that it would be completely suitable. Under heavy CPU load timing may become an issue causing irregular fan speed also without some extra hardware the fans would be switched off until the OS and drivers had initialised...

I had thought of using PWM on the GPOs but wasn't sure if they were capable of continuously switching at a high enough frequency, (30-60 Hz). I would be very interested in how you get on. You could use a single bit dac and use the other gpos to multiplex/address multiple fans etc. (more than just th...

That looks very impressive. I would leave the lcd green, it compliments the window very well. (plus blue leds will reduce the contrast of the display).

The pics are a bit dark obviously to show the lighting, put up some lighter ones as well so we can fully appreciate this tower of beauty.
